Bank statements to Excel, QuickBooks & Xero — without uploading them anywhere
Drop a PDF or CSV statement and get clean, reviewable transactions in seconds. LocalLedger runs entirely in your browser, so account numbers and balances never touch a server.
No sign-up · Free preview of every file · Pro is a one-time $29
Built for people who handle other people's money
Bookkeepers & accountants
Catch up a client's year from PDF statements without retyping or sending their data to yet another cloud service.
Small business owners
Import missing months into QuickBooks Online or Xero when the bank feed broke or never covered them.
Quicken, GnuCash & YNAB users
Turn statements and bank CSV exports into QIF or OFX files your personal finance app can read.
How it works
Drop your statements
Text-based PDFs from online banking or CSV exports. Several files and password-protected PDFs work too.
Review in a table
Dates, descriptions and signed amounts are detected for you. We check that the transactions add up to the statement's opening and closing balance.
Export
Download Excel, CSV, a QuickBooks Online or Xero import file, QIF or OFX — ready to import.
Export formats
- Excel (.xlsx)
- CSV
- QuickBooks Online CSV
- Xero CSV
- QIF
- OFX
Why "local" matters
Nothing to leak
Most converters upload your statement to their servers. LocalLedger reads it with code running in your own browser tab. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
Checks its own work
When a statement prints opening and closing balances, LocalLedger reconciles every row against them and tells you if something does not add up.
You stay in control
Every row is editable before export: fix a description, flip a sign, delete a fee, add a missing line.
Simple pricing
Convert and preview any statement for free. Pay once when you need full exports.

Questions
Is my statement really not uploaded?
Yes. The converter is a web page that runs JavaScript in your browser. The PDF is read with the open-source pdf.js library on your device. The only network requests the app makes are anonymous usage counters (for example "a file was converted" — never the file, its contents or your name) and, if you buy, the checkout.
Which banks are supported?
LocalLedger does not use per-bank templates. It reads the layout of the page — dates, descriptions, amount and balance columns — so it works with most text-based statements from banks and card issuers worldwide. Try your own file for free before paying: the preview shows exactly what you will get.
Does it work with scanned statements?
Not yet. The PDF needs a text layer (if you can select text in it, it will work). Statements downloaded from online banking almost always have one.
How do I import the result into QuickBooks Online or Xero?
Choose the "QuickBooks Online (CSV)" or "Xero (CSV)" export and follow our step-by-step guides for QuickBooks Online and Xero.
How does the license work?
After payment you get a license key tied to your email. It unlocks Pro in your browser; you can paste it on any computer you use. No account or password needed.
What if it doesn't work for my statement?
You can test every file for free before buying. If you buy and it still doesn't work for you, ask for a refund within 14 days.
